An arctic blast is invading the midwest with air temperatures as low as -40℉. Wind chill values will be in the range of -20℉ to -70℉! The extreme cold is confined to the Northern Plains and upper midwest where a deep snowpack is present. Locally, the NWS in Indianapolis is forecasting a low of -8℉ tonight with a high of only -2℉ on Wednesday. I think every school from the Ohio River to Canada is closed tomorrow. Wind chills locally will be down to -35℉.
Today, skies were partly sunny with a high of 19℉ and a morning low of 10℉.
Currently, at 9:13 PM, the temperature is 12℉ with snow flurries.
