Although this wasn't an official blizzard, visibilities were below one-quarter mile at many points throughout the day, December 23, 2022. Snowfall was minimal with only 1-2 inches falling. Wind speeds peaked at 33mph with a peak gust at 45mph. Temperatures began to quickly drop at 6pm on December 22. At 6pm, the temperature was 40.4 and by midnight, the temperature had dropped to 2.2 and by 6am on December 23 the air temperature was -9.2 and the wind chill was -30.1. That's a 50 degree drop in air temperature in 12 hours.
